Ketto Founders Launch AI Healthtech Venture MetaGO to Tackle India’s Metabolic Health Crisis

Actor-entrepreneur Kunal Kapoor and the co-founders of crowdfunding platform Ketto have officially launched MetaGO, an AI-driven healthtech startup focused on improving healthcare experiences through proactive, doctor-led metabolic care . This marks a significant pivot from crowdfunding into AI-powered healthcare innovation .
💡 From Crowdfunding to Proactive Healthcare
The inspiration for MetaGO stems from the founders’ extensive experience leading Ketto for over a decade, where they witnessed thousands of families seeking financial aid for advanced-stage conditions like Type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular disease .
“Fourteen years of building Ketto teaches you to see patterns. We met thousands of families at some of the hardest moments of their lives, often after years of diabetes, obesity, or other metabolic conditions had progressed. Over time, it became clear that many of those conditions had begun developing years before anyone needed medical treatment. That’s what led to MetaGO,” Kapoor said .
The founders—Kapoor, Varun Sheth, and Zaheer Adenwala—identified a critical gap in the healthcare system for early, preventative intervention in metabolic disorders . Rather than treating disease after it progresses, MetaGO is designed to intervene earlier, shifting the paradigm from reactive treatment to proactive, personalized health management .
🏥 A Comprehensive, Doctor-Led Care Model
MetaGO offers an integrated care model combining doctor consultations, metabolic assessments covering more than 35 biomarkers, personalised treatment plans, nutrition guidance, fitness coaching, and ongoing monitoring .
The platform operates on an annual subscription model priced at ₹24,000 per year, which includes diagnostics, doctor consultations, and coaching . Sheth, CEO of MetaGO, noted: “India has made significant progress in expanding access to healthcare, and we believe the next opportunity lies in making long-term metabolic care more continuous and connected. Our ambition is to make the standard of care that was previously available only to a privileged few accessible to every Indian who needs it” .
Key Components of MetaGO’s Care Model:
- Diagnostic evaluation tracking 35+ metabolic biomarkers
- Specialist consultations with endocrinologists, cardiologists, and internal medicine specialists
- Personalised treatment plans tailored to individual metabolic profiles
- Clinically appropriate GLP-1 therapies where warranted, under medical supervision
- Nutrition guidance and fitness coaching to support sustainable lifestyle changes
- Continuous clinical monitoring and regular follow-ups
“At MetaGO, we believe you need to ‘stop fighting your biology alone.’ Most weight loss products sell you a tool and disappear, and you are left to figure out the rest by yourself. We built the part that stays, the part that makes sure people don’t just lose the weight but keep it off,” Kapoor explained .
🤖 AI Integration and Healthtech 2.0
MetaGO falls into the emerging crop of “healthtech 2.0” startups that focus on extending longevity, preventing illness, and optimising healthspan . These new-age healthtech companies are increasingly attracting investor attention, particularly due to the incorporation of AI .
Unlike traditional health platforms, MetaGO leverages technology to make healthcare more personalised and accessible. The startup is building an AI-driven platform designed to improve healthcare experiences by combining clinical expertise with technology .
🎯 GLP-1 Therapies: A Balanced Approach
A key component of MetaGO’s treatment options includes clinically appropriate GLP-1 therapies, which have transformed obesity management. However, the platform emphasises that medication is only one part of a larger, medically supervised journey .
“Nobody should be left alone with a strong drug and a printout. At MetaGO, we see GLP-1s as one part of a comprehensive care journey rather than the destination itself,” Kapoor emphasised .
Dr. Kaushal Patel, a cardiologist on MetaGO’s Medical Advisory Board, noted that GLP-1 therapies achieve the best outcomes when combined with proper clinical supervision, metabolic monitoring, and sustained lifestyle support .
🌍 Community Outreach and Market Vision
Demonstrating its commitment to public health, MetaGO recently organised a free metabolic health camp for the Mumbai Police, offering blood tests and on-the-spot physician consultations . The company plans to expand similar community initiatives to additional professional groups in the coming months as part of its broader effort to increase awareness around metabolic health .
💡 A Defining Moment for Indian Healthtech
The launch of MetaGO marks a notable development in India’s evolving healthtech landscape, addressing a critical public health need—India is home to one of the largest populations living with metabolic health challenges in the world . By combining the founders’ unique insights from Ketto with a robust, doctor-led continuous care model, MetaGO offers a promising solution aimed at shifting the paradigm from reactive treatment of metabolic disease to proactive, personalised, and accessible long-term health management .
