SportVot Raises ₹32.7 Crore Led by IAN Alpha Fund to Scale AI-Powered Sports Streaming Globally

In a significant vote of confidence for India’s burgeoning sports-tech sector, SportVot has raised ₹32.7 crore in a fresh funding round led by IAN Alpha Fund. The round also saw participation from existing investors Anicut Capital, Let’s Venture, Capital A, along with Succeed Innovation, Garima Vohra, and Gaurav Chanana of Lucifer Circus & Lucifer Sports, among others .

The Mumbai-based startup is tackling a massive global problem: the vast majority of sporting events—an estimated 99%—never get streamed due to prohibitive production costs and lack of broadcast infrastructure . SportVot’s proprietary platform is designed to bridge that gap, making professional-grade broadcasting accessible to leagues and organizers of all sizes.

“Nearly 99% of sports played globally go unstreamed due to high production costs and limited access to technology. We are trying to bridge that gap by making professional-grade sports broadcasting accessible to leagues and organisers of all sizes.”
— Siddhant Agarwal, Co-founder, SportVot

Capital Deployment: International Expansion and AI Enhancement

SportVot plans to deploy the fresh capital across two primary strategic pillars :

1. Expanding International Footprint
Having already entered markets like Australia, New Zealand, and Southeast Asia, the company will use the funds to deepen its presence in high-growth regions, including North America, the Middle East, and Europe .

2. Strengthening AI-Led Production
The investment will accelerate the development of SportVot AI, its recently launched broadcast engine. This technology automates live production, intelligent match storytelling, and monetisation, allowing a single operator to manage multi-camera broadcasts .

SportVot AI: The Technology Behind the Scale

In March 2026, ahead of this funding round, SportVot unveiled its proprietary AI-powered broadcast engine . This engine is critical to the company’s ability to scale affordably.

Key features of SportVot AI include:

  • Automated Live Production: Uses computer vision and AI to automate camera switching and graphics.
  • Real-Time Highlight Generation: Instantly clips key moments like goals or wickets for social media distribution .
  • Player Recognition: Identifies individual athletes during gameplay to tag stats and create personalised highlight reels.
  • Revenue Enablement: Provides integrated tools for organisers to monetise streams through subscriptions and pay-per-view, creating a return on investment for broadcasters .

Global Traction: 500,000 Matches and Beyond

Investor confidence in SportVot is backed by hard data. The platform has already demonstrated massive scalability:

MetricCurrent Status
Matches Streamed (Globally)Exceeded 500,000
Countries Reach30+

The startup has successfully partnered with international federations, including a landmark deal with ITTF Oceania to stream a continental table tennis tournament . This versatility—from cricket and kabaddi to table tennis and volleyball—positions SportVot as a leader in digitizing the “long tail” of sports .

Market Context: The Sports-Tech Boom in India

SportVot’s fundraise comes at a time when investor interest in India’s sports-tech ecosystem is surging.

  • Convergence of Trends: The intersection of increasing grassroots sports participation, affordable high-speed internet, and AI-driven automation is creating a perfect storm for platforms like SportVot .
  • Addressing Market Gaps: By offering a low-cost, remote production solution, SportVot turns any smartphone or basic camera into a professional broadcast rig . This empowers local leagues to attract sponsors and gives athletes a digital identity—crucial for grassroots talent discovery.

The Road Ahead: From “Unstreamed” to Global Visibility

With ₹32.7 crore in fresh capital and a robust AI engine, SportVot is poised to transition from a high-growth startup to a dominant player in global sports media services.

The company’s ambition aligns with its mission to democratize sports broadcasting. As co-founder Siddhant Agarwal noted, the goal is to make sports and advanced sports technology accessible to millions of athletes and sports organizations, not just in India but globally
