Healthtech Startup CARPL.ai Secures $10 Million

In a significant vote of confidence for India’s healthtech ecosystem, AI-powered medical imaging platform CARPL.ai has raised $10 million in a Series A funding round. The investment is led by the International Finance Corporation (IFC), the private sector arm of the World Bank Group, with participation from existing investor Stellaris Venture Partners .
The Funding Round & Strategic Use of Capital
The fresh capital will be instrumental in accelerating CARPL.ai’s global mission. The company plans to deploy the funds towards:
- Product Development: Further enhancing its core technology and AI capabilities .
- Global Commercial Expansion: Strengthening its sales and delivery presence across key markets, including North America, Latin America, Europe, the Asia-Pacific region, and other emerging markets .
- Building AI Capabilities: Continuing to build high-skill engineering, product development, and AI capabilities in India to support healthcare providers worldwide .
Solving the Bottleneck in Medical AI
The core of CARPL.ai’s innovation lies in addressing a critical challenge: despite the existence of over 1,000 FDA-cleared radiology AI applications, healthcare providers struggle to integrate them into clinical workflows due to a lack of a unified platform .
To solve this, CARPL.ai has built a comprehensive, vendor-neutral enterprise platform. It acts as a single integration point for hospitals and diagnostic centres, granting them access to what is described as the world’s largest radiology AI marketplace—currently hosting more than 300 AI applications from over 100 partners .
Vidur Mahajan, CEO of CARPL.ai, highlighted the platform’s role in helping clinicians “confidently use the best AI technologies for patient care,” emphasizing that they have built one of the world’s largest radiology AI marketplaces and earned the trust of major healthcare enterprises .
Global Impact and Future Vision
CARPL.ai has already made significant inroads globally. Its platform is used by healthcare organisations, including four of the world’s top five private radiology groups and government healthcare systems in countries like Brazil, India, Singapore, Spain, and the UAE .
Looking ahead, the company has a bold vision that extends beyond radiology. The long-term goal is to become the integration layer for all clinical AI, with plans to expand into pathology, genomics, and general medicine . This strategic ambition signals CARPL.ai’s intent to become a foundational piece of the global healthcare AI infrastructure, proving that Indian startups are at the forefront of combining AI innovation with life-saving impact on a global scale.
