Edtech startup Klassroom has secured ₹11.08 crore from anchor investors, just ahead of its SME IPO opening today . This marks a significant milestone for the Mumbai-based company, founded in 2016 by Alka Javeri and her two sons as a family-led venture to make education more accessible .

The company allocated over 6.96 lakh equity shares at ₹159 per share to six anchor entities, including Subhkam Ventures (I) Pvt Ltd, Kuber India Opportunity Fund and Ekamya Pragati Scheme I .

Klassroom operates a hybrid learning ecosystem combining 30 offline partner centres with an AI-powered Education OTT App featuring over 100 courses . It claims over 600,000 registered learners and more than 250,000 paid subscribers . The company offers coaching for courses such as CA, CS, CMA and other commerce-related examinations .

Klassroom’s IPO is the second major public listing in the Indian edtech space after PhysicsWallah .
