Fixxly Raises $5.5 Million to Bring Quick Commerce to India's Construction Sector

Construction work in India loses countless productive hours daily because of a single missing item—a roll of electrical wire, a specific paint shade, or a plumbing fitting . A new Bengaluru-based startup is stepping in to solve this problem.

Fixxly, a quick-commerce platform for building materials, has raised $5.5 million in a seed funding round led by Accel, Fireside Ventures, and Lightspeed India Partners . The company is applying the 10-minute delivery model to a largely fragmented and undigitized sector, aiming to deliver construction essentials to worksites within 30 minutes .

The Problem: Fragmented Procurement

Procuring building materials in India remains heavily dependent on fragmented local dealer networks, often requiring planned, next-day purchases . This approach frequently fails to meet urgent, on-site needs, causing costly delays and idle labour .

The Fixxly Solution: AI-Powered Supply Network

Fixxly is building an AI-driven procurement platform that aggregates a diverse catalogue of products—including plywood, paint, electricals, lighting, hardware, and plumbing supplies—and fulfils orders through a network of local “dark stores.” . The platform matches orders with real-time inventory availability, customer proximity, and local demand, promising 30-minute delivery .

Backed by Industry Veterans

The startup was founded in 2026 by Shezan Bhojani, former co-founder of home interiors brand DesignCafe, and Sachith Varma, who previously led supply-chain design at Zepto and managed last-mile operations at Flipkart .

Launch and Expansion Plans

The fresh capital will strengthen Fixxly’s AI technology layer ahead of its official commercial launch on September 1, 2026 . The platform will debut in Bengaluru before expanding into other cities, including Hyderabad and Mumbai .

“No site should lose a working hour because a single item didn’t arrive. The people building India are professionals, and their time is money.” — Shezan Bhojani, Co-founder & CEO, Fixxly

Investor Confidence

  • Prashanth Prakash, Partner at Accel, noted: “Building material procurement in India remains highly fragmented… Fixxly is reimagining this category through an AI-driven supply network that delivers speed and reliability at scale.”
  • Vinay Singh, Co-founder & Partner at Fireside India, added: “Last-mile supply chain delivery of building materials remains a largely unsolved problem.”

By leveraging AI-powered logistics and a strong supplier network, Fixxly is positioning itself to streamline the construction-materials market and become a key player in India’s booming urban infrastructure ecosystem.
